Female trees have small red flowers followed by grey woody cones which contain many winged seeds.
Grows naturally in the Sydney basin, Illawarra, Blue Mts and further north along the ranges.
Large upright shrub to small tree with fine, soft, needle-like foliage. Frost/drought hardy. Well-drained position. Bush garden, windbreaks, understorey, screen.
