Grows naturally on low ranges and hills in Eucalyptus woodland in the Mount Lofty Ranges from Mount Clare to Mount Bryan extending down the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Small tree with long narrow leaves and large clusters of yellow ball flowers. Frost tender. Requires a well-drained site which is watered regularly. Full sun to part shade. Understorey, windbreak, specimen. May sucker. Attracts bees.
