Widely distributed over much of NSW as well as Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.
Interesting native daisy with an upright clump of silvery grey woolly leaves and large golden balls on tall stalks. Commercially grown as cut flowers and for drying. Dies back in winter but will resprout in Spring. Drought tolerant but does best in well drained soil with regular watering. Full sun to part shade. Coastal gardens. Rockeries, tubs, near the house. Attracts butterflies.
May self sow in the garden.
