Northern Tablelands form of this popular bottlebrush.
Small to medium tree with an open crown weeping branches, narrow leaves and rich red bottlebrush flowers. Good water absorber. Adaptable to most soils including heavy loam. Tolerates lime and salt spray. Frost tender when young requiring some protection for a year. Specimen, upper storey, screen, windbreak. Invasive root system - keep away from drains. Attracts birds.
