Fl. Summer

Occurs naturally in the Queensland coastal forests from Brisbane to Mackay.

Medium-sized shrub or tree with a low-branching habit. Often in cultivation small branches take root where they touch the ground. These branches are easily severed and replanted. Frost tender, requires frequent watering. Best grown in a large tub in cooler climates. Leaves have a strong lemon flavour and are edible. Dried, powdered leaves are used to flavour many dishes.

Adaptable to most soils, prefers a shady position. White fluffy flowers attract insects.
