Occurs in open forest and woodland in mountains of southern New South Wales and north-eastern Victoria above 600 metres. Named after Bill Cane, a nurseryman and collector.
Neat open shrub with narrow leaves and cream to yellow flower spikes which stand out from the foliage. Frost/drought hardy. Suits a well-drained site in full sun to part shade. May be slow growing. Specimen, background, understorey. Birds.
