Attractive small tree with broad oval leaves having definite veins and small creamy white flowers along the stems in spring followed by woody follicles which hold a pair of seeds each. Frost and drought hardy and adaptable to most soils and conditions. Suited to all gardens as a background shrub or upper canopy. Very easy care. Prune off lower branches as the plant grows. Attractive to small birds.
