Originated as a seedling that was raised at Kings Park and Botanic Gardens in Perth in the late 1970s and named after the gardens.
Upright open weeping shrub with soft green foliage and deep red brushes towards the ends of the branches. Frost and drought hardy. Suited to most soils. Background shrub, understorey, windbreaks, specimen. Highly bird attractive. Prune lightly after flowering.
